Where did the SIREN sound in hip hop music originate? What song was it played in first?

That siren that's played in many hip hop songs... one of those songs is "Touch It (Remix) [Featuring Mary J. Blige, Missy Elliott and Rah Digga]" - but I'm pretty sure that's not the song it was played in at first. Anyone know what songs its been played in? Anyone know which one was the first?
