Need Some Stock Advice?

I'm new to investing, been researching educating myself constantly for past 2 weeks, but i still want to invest in a particular stock. This company actually inspired me to start investing. Someone told me yesterday to wait and do more research and get more educated with the market. The particular company that i want to buy perhaps somewhere around $2000 worth of is coinstar. This was the company that inspired me to invest, because although i might not know every little detail of the stockmarket and even this company, i do see with my own eyes redbox booming and i mean in the course of three months it got itself everywhere and its expanding fast. Should i put the $2000 in now or wait and educate myself more. The reason why I'm so eager is because this company is skyrocketing, i mean how could it be a bad investment even for someone with no knowledge? Plus is scottrade a good broker for this? Anything i should know and ask for if i open an account with them. I do have plans for bigger and more diversified investments in future.
