From what you have described of yourself, you look nothing like a Mafia member, at least by the photos and newscast of them. It sounds more like "momma" doesn't want her daughter to date. I think your behavior was just fine, considering the cirstances. You stated that you have an "Italian Mullet" haircut. That may be fine for Italy, but it doesn't sit too well here in the US. I do take exception to your statement about the "American hillbilly mulltet" haircuts. You really don't want to start putting people down, especially if you know nothing about them. And just what is your definition of an American hillbilly? You are doing the same thing the girl's mother did when she said you look like Mafioso.
